Welcome to Business Communication Unit

Language and Communication skills development courses of the FMSC were conducted by the Faculty of Arts until such time as the Faculty finalized a plan to introduce the Service Concept and a common curriculum in Management in the English Medium. Thereafter, in 2004, the Faculty decided that the Business Communication programmes should be handled by members of its own Faculty; therefore, as an initial step, two lecturers were recruited by the Faculty for the purpose of coordinating across departments and degree programmes and for providing support pertaining to development of language and communication skills. As the volume of work performed by the Unit increased, four more lecturers were recruited in 2013, thus increasing the number of staff to six. At present, the Business Communication Unit is responsible for designing and offering language and communication skills development courses to undergraduates of all degree programmes in the FMSC.
