
Undergraduate Research Day – 2025
The Undergraduate Research Day 2025, organized by the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, was held on the 18th of February 2025. This annual event served as a platform for undergraduates to showcase their research, engage in critical discussions, and contribute to the advancement of academic knowledge.
The event featured a range of research tracks, including Human Capital Mobility, Higher Education, Public Sector Transformation, Digital Transformation, Behavioral Insights, and Socioeconomic Dynamics. With the theme “Tech Titans and Turmoil: Leveraging Disruptive Technologies for Sustainable Business Transformation,” this year’s event delivered insightful conversations on how technology shapes modern business and governance.
Distinguished academics and professionals from both local and international institutions participated as panelists and reviewers, ensuring the research presented met high scholarly standards. The keynote speech, delivered by Dr. Thomas Otieno Juma from the University of Kabianga, Kenya, addressed the changing tides in technological transformations and their impact on research and societal development.
The proceedings of the Undergraduate Research Day 2025 were compiled into a published volume, edited by the Department’s esteemed editorial board. This publication reflects the commitment of the university to fostering a robust research culture and providing students with opportunities for academic and professional growth.
