Celebrating International Women’s Day-2026: Breast Cancer Awareness and Free Screening Programme

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, the Association of Public Administration successfully organized a Breast Cancer Awareness & Free Screening Programme, a worthy health initiative aimed at empowering the university community through awareness and early detection. The programme was conducted on 13 March 2026 in the Faculty New Boardroom in collaboration with the HEMAS Hospitals. The event commenced with an informative awareness session focusing on breast cancer prevention and the importance of early diagnosis. The session was attended by a diverse audience, including undergraduate students, as well as academic and non- academic staff. The programme aimed to break the stigma surrounding breast health and encourage proactive screening practices within the university community.

Following the awareness session, a clinical breast screening programme was conducted at the Faculty Old Boardroom. This session primarily targeted women aged 40 years and above, individuals with a family history of breast cancer, and staff members interested in prioritizing their breast health. The programme concluded successfully, fostering a culture of awareness, care, and prevention, by encouraging women to prioritize their health and promoting the importance of early detection.
