Interactive Session with Disaster Management Centre

The 3rd year undergraduates of the Department of Public Administration who are following the module PUB 3349 Disaster Management have participated for an organizational visit to the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) under the Ministry of Disaster Management on 21st August 2019.

Several interactive sessions were conducted by Mr.R.P.Samarakkody, Additional Director General of DMC and Mrs.Saranga Vithanage, Assitant Director (Education & Public Awareness). Further, Mr.J.M.A.R.Jayarathna and Mr.K.A.D.P.K.Kodippili, Assistant Directors of Emergency Operations Centre  provided practical exposure related to Disaster Risk Reduction, Emergency Operations and Early Warning.
