Ms. Charuka Walpola is a lecturer and researcher in the field of Public Administration with a strong commitment to teaching, research, and academic development. She is currently attached to the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, where she actively engages in teaching, student supervision, and scholarly activities that contribute to knowledge creation and professional development.
She is currently reading for a Master of Development Studies at the Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Colombo. Her academic interests are centered on Public Administration, Project Management, Tourism Development, and Sustainable Development. She is passionate about fostering critical thinking, evidence-based decision-making, and practical learning experiences among students while promoting academic excellence and innovation in higher education.
Beyond teaching and research, she is committed to student mentorship, curriculum development, and community engagement. Through her academic and professional endeavors, she strives to contribute meaningfully to higher education, knowledge dissemination, and the advancement of effective public sector and organizational practices.
