Outbound Training at Sri Lanka Army Commando Regiment Training School, Uva-Kuda Oya
The 2019/2020 batch of the Department of Decision Sciences embarked on an extraordinary adventure at the Uva-Kuda Oya Commando Regiment Training School of the Sri Lanka Army. Led by seasoned Commando Trainers, our three-day training programme from the 26th to the 28th was an immersive experience like no other.Under the guidance of the Commando Trainers themselves, participants were pushed beyond their limits and challenged to discover their full potential. From dawn till dusk, each day was filled with a diverse array of activities designed to foster teamwork, leadership skills, and resilience in the face of adversity.
Participants engaged in intense physical and mental exercises, tackling obstacle courses, mastering survival skills, and honing their abilities in strategic decision-making. The hands-on approach of the Commando Trainers ensured that every moment was an opportunity for growth and self-discovery. Beyond the rigorous training, participants also forged deep bonds with their peers, sharing laughter around the campfire, showcasing their talents in a spirited talent show, and building friendships that would last a lifetime.
The Uva-Kuda Oya Commando Regiment Training School provided the perfect backdrop for our unforgettable journey, with its stunning natural surroundings and state-of-the-art facilities. As the sun set on the final day of training, participants departed with a newfound sense of confidence, camaraderie, and purpose.
