“ධර්ම ගවේෂී” Poson Poya Programme

The Association of Public Administration (APA), of the Department of Public Administration has successfully organized the Poson Poya programme, “Dharma Gaveshi” purporting to enhance the Dhamma knowledge and to celebrate the Poson Poya Day.

The programme consisted of four segments which spanned over 2 weeks.

• Facebook Dhamma Quiz Competition
• Buddhist Poetry Competition – “නිසඳැස් කවි අරණ”
• Dhamma Sermon- “සද්ධම්ම දක්ඛිණා”
• Poson Devotional Song Programme -“දම්සර දැහැන”

The Facebook Dhamma Quiz Competition was held over 10 days selecting 10 winners through posting Dhamma questions on the Facebook page of the Association. The second phase of the programme “නිසඳැස් කවි අරණ” received large number of poems from composers all around the island. On the Poson Poya Day evening, “සද්ධම්ම දක්ඛිණා” Dhamma Sermon programme sermonized virtually by Venerable Galle Gnanobhasa Thero (Ranagirilena Monastry, Malsiripura). Poson Devotional Songs sung by the students of the Department of Public Administration, “දම්සර දැහැන” programme marked the last segment of a successful effort of the Association.
