'Ama Dhara' Dharma Sermon Program Organized by the Students' Association of Public Administration

The Students’ Association of Public Administration of University of Sri Jayawardenepura organized the annual “Ama Dhara event”, a Dharma Sermon under the “Sadaham Suwaya” program on the occasion of Vesak ceremony.

The program took place on 21st of May 2024 from 9.00 a.m. onwards at Paramadharmawardhanaramaya Temple, Raththanapitiya.

The event was held with the presence of reverend Rukmalpitiye Dheerananda Thero.

Moreover, the event was glamoured with the participation of the Head of the Department of Public Administration, Dr. R. P. C. K. Jayasinghe and Senior Professor and Chair of the Department of Public Administration, R. L. S. Fernando.

Further, the program provided an opportunity to commemorate the birth, enlightenment, and passing of the Buddha. Finally, the occasion provided the chance for us all to reflect on his teachings and renew our commitment to universal values such as compassion, tolerance, and human dignity.
