Awarding Ceremony of the W A Wijewardena Public Management (Merit) Scholarship 2023

The W.A Wijewardena Public Management (Merit) Scholarship established in 2013 for the purpose of consistently recognizing and supporting the outstanding undergraduates for their exceptional academic achievements was awarded for four outstanding students reading for the BSc (Hons) in Management (Public) Degree Program and BSc Management (Special) Degree Program consecutively for this year too.

1. Ms. Kasuni Kalhari from 2021/2022 batch for obtaining the highest Z- Score at the G. C. E. Advanced Level Examination in 2021 attached to the Department of Public Administration.
2. Ms. Hirunya Perera from 2020/2021 batch obtaining the highest marks at the First Year Examination (Semester I and Semester II).
3. Ms. Harrthi Subbiya from 2019/2020 batch for obtaining the highest marks at the Second Year Examination (Semester I and Semester II).
4. Ms. Agalya Saravanabavan from 2018/2019 batch for obtaining the highest marks at the Third Year Examination (Semester I and Semester II).

A brief event for awarding ceremony was conducted on 03rd November 2023 at the Mayo Hall of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce at 5.00 pm onwards. The event was glamoured with the presence of the founder of the scholarship as well as a Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Dr. W. A. Wijewardena, Head of the Department of Public Administration, Dr. R. P. C. K. Jayasinghe, and a few other Senior and Junior staff members of the Department.
