Donation by a reputed alumnus, Mr.Sarath De Silva
Former General Manager of the Bank of Ceylon, Mr. A. Sarath De Silva, a reputed alumnus of the Department of Public Administration of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura donated Rs. 150,000 to the Alumni Association of Public Administration on 23rd of November 2016. The main purpose of this donation is to develop the existing scholarship fund of the Department of Public Administration. The interest generated from this fund will be utilized for the undergraduates who need financial assistance for their academic activities. Dr. U. Anura Kumara, the Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, Prof. Lalitha S. Fernando, the Head of the Department of Public Administration, Dr. H. M. A. Hearth, the Coordinator of this scholarship Fund, and also other academics of the Department participated for this occasion. The Dean and the Department of Public Administration highly appreciated his generous and valuable support towards the undergraduates of the Department.
