Inauguration Ceremony of the Master of Science in Public Policy and Management and Master of Public Management Programs – 5th Intake

The Department of Public Administration successfully held the inaugural ceremony for the 5th intake of the Master of Science in Public Policy and Management (MSc PPM) and Master of Public Management (MPM) programs on August 10, 2024, via Zoom.

The event was graced by esteemed guests including Dr. Dushan Jayawickrama, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce; Mr. W. G. T. S. Senanayaka, Head of the Department of Public Administration; Dr. P. Janaka S. Fernando, Director of the Postgraduate Center for Business Studies; Prof. T. G. Upuli Perera, Chairperson of the Postgraduate Center for Business Studies; and Snr. Prof. R. L. S. Fernando, Coordinator of the MSc PPM and MPM programs, all of whom addressed the gathering.

Two distinguished recently qualified students from the 2021 batches also shared their experiences: Ms. P.D. Bhagya S. Pathirana, Senior Assistant Registrar (Examination) at General Sir John Kotelawala Defense University, who successfully completed the MSc PPM program , and Ms. Asha Jayawardena, Assistant Commissioner (Operations) at the Department of Community-Based Corrections, Ministry of Justice, who also successfully completed the MPM program.

Visiting lecturers of the programs and other academic staff from the department also attended this occasion virtually.
