Promoting Relaxation and Well-being through Yoga Sessions under PUB 3379: Managerial Skills and Competencies

Yoga sessions focusing on stress management and relaxation techniques was conducted for third-year undergraduates of the Department of Public Management as part of the PUB 3379: Managerial Skills and Competencies course, offered under the Bachelor of Science Honours in Management (Public) degree program.

The session took place on December 6, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in two sessions at the Sunethra Devi Maha Vihara. It was led by professional yoga instructor Ms. Janaka Perera, who has also contributed to a series of yoga sessions organized for university staff.

During the session, students were introduced to various breathing exercises and gentle stretches, essential relaxation techniques suitable for beginners exploring yoga practices.

The event was successfully coordinated by Ms. H. R. A. S. Vindula, the course coordinator of PUB 3379, under the guidance of the Head of the Department, Mr. W. G. T. S. Senanayaka.
