Sooryabhishekaya'24

The Association of Public Administration organized the “Sooryabhishekaya’24, an “Aurudu Ceremony” to celebrate the Sinhala and Tamil New Year. The event took place on 17th of April 2024 from 8.00 AM onwards at Ehela Wala Premises of the University of Sri Jayawardenepura.

The event was officially commenced with the lefting over milk and opening the “Aurudu Kevili Table” by Dr. R. P. C. K. Jayasinghe, Head of the Department of Public Administration, the other lecturers and students of the Department.

The event featured with lots of “Aurudu Kreeda” and aesthetic items providing a perfect platform for students to enjoy our “Traditional Gemi Kreeda” and showcase their hidden aesthetic talents. Also, the winners of each “Aurudu Kreeda“, has been awarded a small gift as a souvenir for their achievement.

Moreover, the evening of the event was featured with a “DJ-Night” and finally, the event was ended-up with a great success.
