Arrival of Mr. Liu Yang Sloan to University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka
Mr. Liu Yang Sloan, Coordinator of the National Innovation Development System (N.I.D.S) Incubator Operation Center in China which is linked with OBOR initiatives, visited the Department of Entrepreneurship, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura on 12th August 2018. The main purpose of this visit is to build up a strong relationship between the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka and the National Innovation Development System (N.I.D.S) Incubator Operation Center in China and to get the understand about the learning system of University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
Mr. Rukmal Weerasinghe, Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship, Mrs. Sriyani Ranasinghe, Lecture and the coordinator of the Master’s Degree Program, Department of Entrepreneurship and other academic and non-academic staff welcomed Mr. Liu Yang Sloan to the Department of Entrepreneurship, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Then, Mr. Liu Yang Sloan discussed with the students of Master Degree in Entrepreneurship Program and the SMESU programs.
As a result of this visit, Mr. Liu Yang Sloan agreed to provide necessary assistance to the development of the proposed Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEFENI) by the Department of Entrepreneurship, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Further, he agreed to facilitate student exchange programs between China and Sri Lanka.
