Fostering Bonds and Unleashing Potential: The Annual Mini Welcome "Foliage 2024” of the Department of Entrepreneurship

Amidst the gentle embrace of autumn, the Department of Entrepreneurship at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura recently hosted the annual mini-welcome program named ‘Foliage’ on March 8, 2024, under the Autumn theme. This vibrant event, held at the university grounds, 

served as a joyous gathering to warmly welcome the batch of 2020/2021, marking their transition into their Second Year.

The atmosphere was filled with renewal and friendship, as students came together to celebrate the spirit of unity and growth. Led by the Third-Year students of the Department of Entrepreneurship the main sponsor for costumes of the day was Tara Fashion which is the business startup of one of the department’s third-year students. The event unfolded into a memorable day filled with laughter, joy, bonding, and fun-filled exciting activities. 

From dawn to dusk, ‘Foliage’ buzzed with energy as students engaged in lots of fun-filled activities, organized to build teamwork and strengthen the bonds. Every moment was infused with a sense of belongingness and a shared purpose.

Among the esteemed guests present was Professor Shyaman Udayanaga, the visionary founder of the department, whose presence underscored the significance of the occasion. His words of wisdom resonated deeply with both the incoming and senior students, inspiring them to strive for excellence in all future endeavours. It’s noteworthy to mention the active participation of the esteemed lecturers from the Department of Entrepreneurship.

As the Department of Entrepreneurship continues its journey of nurturing innovative leaders and fostering a culture of excellence, events like “Foliage” stand as a testament to its commitment to holistic growth and community building.
