
Generative AI Workshop for Businesses: A Step Forward in Innovation

A workshop focusing on Generative AI for businesses took place at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura on September 16th 2023. The event was organized by the Chamber of Small and Medium Enterprises (COSME) in partnership with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Support Unit (SMEDSU) and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEFENI) of the Department of Entrepreneurship, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
Mr. David Benjamin, the Co-founder and President of SEALD foundation and Managing Director of both Lanka Ecobricks (PVT) LTD and AgE Global Group (PVT) LTD, served as the resource person. He shared his expertise and insights on the practical applications of Generative AI in the business sector.
The workshop aimed to provide a basic understanding of Generative AI and its potential benefits for businesses, especially for small and medium enterprises. Attendees included business professionals, entrepreneurs, and students who were keen to learn more about this emerging technology.
This marks the first in a series of workshops aimed at providing practical insights and knowledge to develop budding entrepreneurs in the nation.
