Ms. Chathini De Silva is an academic, researcher, and entrepreneurship educator with a strong commitment to advancing entrepreneurship research and practice. She currently serves as a lecturer in entrepreneurship and is pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management at Deakin University, Australia, under the Deakin University Postgraduate Research Scholarship.
Chathini holds a Bachelor of Science (Special) Degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Throughout her academic career, she has demonstrated a strong interest in entrepreneurial behaviour, innovation, small business development, and entrepreneurship education.
Before commencing her doctoral studies, Chathini served as a lecturer in the Department of Entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. In this role, she contributed to teaching, curriculum development, student mentoring, and academic administration. She has taught a range of undergraduate and professional courses in entrepreneurship, business planning, innovation management, small business development, and research methods. She has also been actively involved in organizing academic conferences, faculty research sessions, and entrepreneurship development initiatives.
