Academic Tour to India
Students of the Department of Entrepreneurship participated for a study visit in India organized by the Lovely Professional University (LPU) as a result of Memorandum of Understanding signed between the LPU and the Department of Entrepreneurship (DoE), University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.
2nd and 3rd year students of the Department and the students of Advanced Diploma in Entrepreneurial Business Management (ADEBM) of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Support Unit (SMEDSU) got the privilege of participating in the two weeks study program in the Lovely Professional University, India. Apart from that, academic members, namely, Prof. Rohini Samarasinghe (Department of Marketing), Mr. Channa Gajanayaka, Ms. Shanika Perera and Ms. Bimali Ranasinghe (Department of Entrepreneurship) participated for this tour.
Students got the chance of learning International Business Management and Entrepreneurship from Indian Professors and visit industries in India to learn from their practices. The knowledge, experiences gained and linkages made through this program will be applied for the betterment of their enterprises in Sri Lanka.
Both the students and academics were able to participate for an International Conference on “Strategies for Global Competitiveness and Economic Growth” at School of Business, LPU. This was a good opportunity to learn Global Business Management, share the findings of the research presented in the conference and deliver knowledge to our university community.
