Awards and Scholarships (Last Five Years): From 2013 to 2017
1 Award of Honour for the contributions given to HRM education and particularly to MBA and other postgraduate programs offered by University of Colombo, Sri Lanka at the 8th International Conference on Management and Finance-2013 (held on 13/12/2013), Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo.
2 Award named “Uththama Purusa Upaharaya (Great Man Felicitation)” for teaching to university students more than 25 years without leaving the motherland conferred by Sri Jayewardenepura University Business Administration Graduates Foundation 1987/88, 88/89 at the Berjaya Mount Royal Beach Hotel (28/12/2013).
3 Research Award in recognition of achieving the highest h-index in the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce for the year-2014 at the Awarding Ceremony held on 18th November 2015 (Presented by the Research Council of USJ and there was only one award per the Faculty). There were 165 academics in the Faculty in 2014.

5 The book titled “Enhancing Your Personal Q” written by me as the main author and Associate Professor Lim Kong Teong of Universiti Utara Malaysia was selected as The Best Book under The General/Common Book (Motivational) Category of the National Book Award 2015 awarded by the National Book Development Foundation, Malaysia. The reward ceremony was held on 25/11/2015 at Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

Many workshops for developing managers and professionals were conducted. Served as a chairperson, reviewer, and editor at research sessions/conferences at national level; quality assurance reviewer and advisor, member of the various boards of management, adjudicator of appointing university associate professors/professors both at international level and local level; evaluator of PhD theses (both local and international); keynote speaker at conferences, and a co-chair at conference.
