Stakeholder Consultation Meeting 2019
The Department of Information Technology of Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce University of Sri Jayewardenepura successfully held its Stakeholder Consultation Meeting on 8th November 2019 at Centre of Banking Studies, Rajagiriya. The event was conducted with the participation of Academic members of the Department, members of the Professional Institutes, Alumnae members and the industry practitioners representing both IT and Management domains. The main objective of the discussion was to gain the stakeholder insights on existing curriculum and undertake required revisions in order to keep it in par with the new industry trends and requirements. During the discussion, main focuses were given on identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the existing curriculum and the graduates, employability of the Management and IT graduates, major trends emerging in the IT industry and labor markets which could create opportunities and challenges, possible career avenues available for the graduates and ultimately, proposals on revisions to be made to the existing curriculum.
