𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 

A guest lecture on Microplastic Pollution by Dr. Sajith Edirisinghe, Senior Lecturer and Clinical Geneticists of Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medical Sciences of University of Sri Jayewardenepura was held on 29th April, 2025, at the SBGF 3 Hall. Dr. Edirisinghe shed light on the pervasive presence of microplastics in the environment and their potential health implications. He also explored innovative strategies to convert waste into valuable resources, emphasizing the importance of sustainable waste management practices. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Edirisinghe for sharing his expertise and inspiring the undergraduates to take proactive steps toward a cleaner and healthier future.
