Opatha (Chair of HRM) and Sr. Prof. Sampath Amaratunge (UGC Chairman), has been published by the University Grant Commission (UGC), Sri Lanka in a book (Beyond Boundaries: One Hundred Years of Humanities and Social Sciences in Sri Lankan Universities) edited by Sr. Prof. P. De Silva and others. This is the first book chapter written comprehensively on the Disciplinary History of Management in Sri Lanka. It is evident that the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce (FMSC) of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ) created the disciplinary history (by being the pioneer) and has been expanding the history.
