Focus of HRM Internship
The HRM Internship has achieved a fabulous development throughout the period from its commencement. The major focus of HRM Internship is on learning professional skills, abilities and activities practiced in the business world. The intern has to get involved in the aspects of HRM process and practices as their academic training. Through this process of learning, the intern has certain achievements such as training in genuine understanding, applying HRM knowledge to practice, improving personal skills and other related knowledge, skills and attitudes.

The objectives of the HRM Internship in HRM Degree Programme are to:

Duration of the HRM Internship
The HRM Internship covers six (06) credits of the Degree Programme and minimum training hours per credit is 90 hours. Total expected hours per six (06) credits of HRM Internship are 540 hours. The expected number of weeks of the HRM Internship is 17 weeks (except the study leave for the semester exam) and the HRM Internship must be covered by the intern during five months, except the end semester exam. Considering the study leave for the end semester exam, the Department expects six (06) months internship programme for the HRM undergraduates.
