The Future Ready Mind with Emotional Intelligence
The Department of Human Resource Management (HRM) together with the Alumni Association of the Department of HRM organized its 1st Virtual Skills Development program for its undergraduates. This programme was facilitated by an alumni of the Department of HRM, Ms. Andrea Jayatilleka – Director of Smart Quest (Pvt) Ltd on 21st August 2020 via the Zoom platform.
Ms. Jayatilleka herein discussed and shared her expertise on one of the most pertinent subjects of our time – emotional intelligence, under the topic “ The Future Ready Mind with Emotional Intelligence”. Basing the discussion on her experience in the industry and in the field of coaching, she illustrated the importance of emotional intelligence and the tools which students can use to build and enhance their emotional intelligence.
This session enlightened students and encouraged them on how to open up and how to handle the waters in relation to the corporate world. It was an interactive session and students were thus given the opportunity to clarify their doubts and questions from the host. The session was marked a success since the participants had many a positive feed
back to share thereafter.
