YesWeCan – Adaptive Resilience Workshop

The Department of Information Technology successfully hosted a workshop on “Adaptive Resilience” on 26th September 2025 for 2nd Year BIS students, as part of the Personality and Skills Development 2 subject.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Sahan Dharmathilake, Co-Founder of YesWeCan.LK and Founder & CEO of Resilience Within: Mental Wellbeing Consultants. This workshop offered a highly interactive and practical experience, with 75% of the program dedicated to hands-on activities and actionable strategies.

Designed to help participants thrive in fast-paced and high-pressure environments, the session focused on equipping students with proven techniques to:

  • Manage stress effectively
  • Adapt to challenges with resilience
  • Maintain focus under pressure

By fostering mental agility, mindfulness, and motivation, the workshop empowered students to enhance their productivity, creativity, and overall well-being. Beyond personal growth, these skills contribute to stronger team cohesion and improved performance in academic and professional settings.

The event was coordinated by Ms. Dulari Perera and Ms. Kumudu Fernando on behalf of the department, with collaboration from Ms. Himali Diyabedanage representing YesWeCan.lk.

The department sincerely thanks the resource persons and organizers for their dedication in creating a meaningful and impactful experience.
