Dining Etiquette and Professional Conduct: A Skills Development Workshop

The Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, successfully conducted a Workshop on Dining Etiquette for its third-year students as part of the ITC 3179 – Personality & Skills Development (PSD 4) course.

The workshop was held on 15 August 2026 at Hotel Bourbon Grand, Homagama, with the aim of enhancing students’ professional and interpersonal skills by introducing them to appropriate dining etiquette and professional conduct in formal and social settings.

The session was conducted by Mr. Dilum Perera, Visiting Lecturer, who served as the resource person. The session provided students with valuable practical knowledge that can contribute to their confidence and professionalism in future workplace and social environments. The workshop was coordinated by Mr. Thanuja Wickramanayaka on behalf of the Department of Information Technology. Professor Lasith Gunawardena, Mr. Manura Fonseka, and Miss Sharmi Malisha also participated in the workshop, representing the Department of Information Technology.

The Department appreciates the valuable contribution of Mr. Dilum Perera and the active participation of all students in making the workshop a meaningful and engaging learning experience.
