DIT Senior Academics Participate in Inaugural SLASSCOM Immersive Academia Program

We are proud to announce that senior academics from the Department of Information Technology (DIT) (Dr. Amitha Kumara, Dr. Mahesh Fernando, Mr. Shantha Puhulwella recently participated in the inaugural SLASSCOM Sri Lanka Academia Immersive Program. This 10-day program, organized by SLASSCOM and hosted by Wiley Global Technology (Pvt) Limited, Virtusa Pvt. Ltd. Sri Lanka, and hSenid, served as an excellent platform to bridge the gap between academia and the IT industry.

The program provided an in-depth exploration of the latest trends in technology and allowed academics to gain hands-on insights into the IT industry’s current practices and future directions. By fostering collaboration between educational institutions and industry leaders, the initiative aimed to enhance the quality of education while equipping faculty with relevant industry knowledge.
