The Department of Information Technology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, was honoured to host an insightful guest lecture on “Microsoft Intelligent Cloud & Building Your Career in the AI Era” on the 23rd of May at the ITRC 3 Lab. This was conducted under the subject ITC 3370 – IT Infrastructure, under the guidance of the course coordinator, Prof. Lasith GunawardenaWe were privileged to welcome Mr. Shiraz Safaideen (Azure Senior Specialist, Microsoft India & South Asia) and Mr. Prabhath Mannapperuma (Technology Strategist, Microsoft India & South Asia) as our distinguished speakers. Their session offered invaluable insights into the transformative role of AI and cloud technologies in shaping the future of work, while also inspiring our final-year undergraduates to align their careers with emerging global tech trends.We are grateful for the opportunity to connect our students with industry leaders and look forward to more such initiatives that bridge academia and cutting-edge technology.
