Prof. Nir Kshetri’s Visit as a Fulbright Scholar: Advancing Digital Business Management Insights
We are privileged to have hosted Prof. Nir Kshetri, Charles A. Hayes Distinguished Professor of Management at the Bryan School of Business and Economics, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as a Visiting Fulbright Scholar from December 15th to 18th, 2025.

Prof. Kshetri is a globally recognized thought leader in emerging technologies, specializing in areas such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and technology-driven economic development, particularly in developing and emerging economies. His extensive research has garnered over 30,000 citations on Google Scholar, placing him among the top 0.03% of researchers worldwide.
During his visit, Prof. Kshetri shared invaluable global perspectives with our faculty, shedding light on the strategic, societal, and developmental implications of cutting-edge digital technologies. Although his visit coincided with the examination period, limiting student engagement, the insights shared with our academic community were profound and thought-provoking.
Additionally, Prof. Kshetri led a pre-conference workshop for the International Conference on Business Management, further enriching our department’s understanding of the intersection between technology and business strategy.
His distinguished standing in both academic and applied technology fields, underscored by his editorial roles in IEEE publications (including as IT Economics Editor for IEEE IT Professional and Outstanding Associate Editor recognition from IEEE Computer), contributed to making his visit an exceptional experience for all involved.
We extend our gratitude to Prof. Kshetri for his outstanding contribution to our academic and research community, and we look forward to future collaborations in advancing the field of digital business management.
