Enhancing Research Skills: CPD Workshop on Systematic Literature Review
The Department of Finance, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce (FMSC), successfully hosted a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) workshop focused on the essential research skill of Systematic Literature Review. This program is a key part of our commitment to boosting the academic and research capabilities of our department. The session was held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ) premises.
We were privileged to have the workshop conducted by Ms. Hiranya Dissanayake, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Accountancy, Faculty of Business Studies and Finance, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. Ms. Dissanayake provided comprehensive insights into the systematic literature review using biblioshiny platform, which is a fundamental skill for producing high-quality research and publications. To facilitate an interactive and practical experience, the session was designed to be hands-on, allowing attendees to actively engage with the methodologies and tools discussed. This approach ensures that theoretical knowledge is quickly translated into applicable skills for current and future research projects.
The Department of Finance views such CPD programs as vital investments in the professional growth of our academic community. The excellent turnout and positive feedback underscore our dedication to maintaining high standards of research excellence and continuous learning.
