Dr. M.G.Tharangani assumed the duties on 30th May, 2017 as the new Head of the Department of Human Resource Management. Dr. U. Anura Kumara, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, academic and non-academic members and the students of the department attended the function.

The Department of Human Resource Management and the Association of Human Resource Management organized a felicitation function on 23rd of June, 2017 to appreciate the service rendered by Senior Prof. K. H. H. Kottawatta, former Head of the Department of Human Resource Management.

4th HRM Scintilla Night – Twenty Fifteen
Fourth HRM Scintilla was another remarkable turning point of the Department and the HRM Family. It was held in 2015. The fourth HRM Scintilla consisted of several events such as appreciation of HR contributors, awarding the best HR Manager, HR Executive and the Best HR Entrepreneur for the HRM undergraduates.
