
FMSC Staff Participates in SAP Academic Community Conference APAC 2025
Mr. Kavinga Priyasad Elamulla from the Department of Information Technology participated in the SAP Academic Community Conference APAC 2025 at SM Retail Headquarters, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines from July 7–11 2025. He was joined by a few other academic staff members from several departments of the FMSC, USJ.
The event gathered over 200 participants from all around the world. These workshops focused on essential SAP solutions, including S/4HANA, Signavio, ERPSim, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) with Joule, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Ariba.
This workshop offered a unique opportunity to engage with educators and industry experts. It allowed us to network, exchange ideas, explore collaborations, and gain insights into launching new SAP initiativThis workshop offered a unique opportunity to engage with educators and industry experts. It allowed us to network, exchange ideas, explore collaborations, and gain insights into launching new SAP initiatives at our university. The newly introduced curricula at FMSC, commencing in 2022 and approved by the Senate, demonstrate a progressive approach to management education. This includes the strategic integration of ERP applications and related courses, with 1375 students currently enrolled annually.
The faculty has chosen SAP software for ERP education, recognizing it as the optimal solution for our curriculum. SAP, as part of the University Academic Alliances, is widely recognized in higher education institutions worldwide, including three Sri Lankan state universities. Our university has been a member of the SAP Academic Community since 2012.
The SAP Academic Community Conference will strengthen our University Alliances program and help integrate the latest technological advancements into our curricula.
