DIT Career Launchpad 2020: Workshop #1
The Department of Information Technology organized a series of workshops titled “DIT Career Launchpad 2020” aimed at preparing the 4th year students of the Department for their internship programme. The first workshop of the series was conducted by Mr. Amithe Gamage, Co-founder of Quantum leap (Pvt) Ltd. on the 18th of December 2020 via zoom. It was tilted “Personal Branding: A Blue Ocean Strategy”. The event was attended by over 60 participants. Mr. Gamage highlighted the importance of maintaining a LinkedIn profile and advised students on how to populate their LinkedIn profile with information that is sought by employers. The event series was organized under the subject ITC 4344 – Internship in Information Systems. It was organized by Dr. K.S. Lasith Gunawardena (Coordinator, ITC 4344) and Ms. Thamali Chandrasiri (Assistant Coordinator, ITC 4344) together with Mr. Prabhasara Athurupana and Ms. Udari Wickramasinghe.
