Alumni Association of The Department of Business Administration
Alumni Association of the Department of Business Administration of University of Sri Jayewardenepura is aimed at promoting and fostering close relations between the University and its alumni and among the alumni themselves. In doing so, the Alumni Association of the Department creates a platform for the Department’s alumni members to maintain communication and networking channels among themselves and with the academia of the University; thereby, providing them a sense of community through strong links with the graduates, University, and the wider community. The Alumni Association of the Department has initiated and designed several programmes and events to provide a range of benefits to its alumni and to obtain the assistance of the alumni for the development of the University and pursuit of academic excellence. With the presence of the distinguished Alumni who have made significant contributions both nationally and internationally, the Department strongly believes that the Alumni Association will be a brand champion for the University and the Degree programme.
Objectives of the Alumni Association
- To encourage, foster and promote close relations between the University and its alumni and among the alumni themselves,
- To initiate and develop programmes that are beneficial to alumni and the Department,
- To assist and support the efforts of the Department in obtaining funds for development,
- To implement programmes to upgrade and introduce BSc Honours in Business Administration Degree to the corporate sector,
- To provide and disseminate information regarding the Department, its graduates, and undergraduates, to the alumni,
- To facilitate professional interactions and exchange of knowledge between the undergraduates and alumni and among the alumni.
- To guide and assist alumni who have recently completed their Degree Programme at the Department to obtain employment and to engage in productive pursuits useful to society.
- To create and maintain a database of alumni to assist the advancement of education and career development of undergraduates and graduates of the Department of Business Administration.
- To pursue any other objectives consistent with the above aims and objectives of the Association.
