Monthly Webinar Series by Finance Alumni Association
The first webinar of the monthly webinar series, “Unpacking the World of Finance” organized by the Finance Alumni Association of the Department of Finance of USJ was held on the 22nd May 2023 via zoom with the participation of academics, undergraduates, post-graduates, industry invitees and past graduates who are related to finance. The topic of the webinar was, “The Economic Impact of the IMF Agreement”.
Dr. P. K. Harischandra, the Director of Economic Research of the CBSL and Senior Professor (Dr.) D. B. P. H. Dissabandara from the Department of Finance, USJ were invited as the speakers of the webinar and covered the areas such as insights and analysis of the deal including its potential impact on the Sri Lankan economy, debt restructuring and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
