Unlocking Opportunities: Information session in collaboration with CFA Sri Lanka
The Department of Finance in collaboration with the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Society Sri Lanka, organized an interactive information session for second and third-year undergraduates of the Department on the 11th of October 2023 at the New Faculty Board Room with the aim of providing valuable insights into the world of finance and investment.
The session was enriched by the presence and informative speeches delivered by distinguished representatives of CFA Society Sri Lanka comprising Mr. Aruna Alwis – CEO of the CFA Society Sri Lanka, Mr. Aruna Perera – President of the CFA Society Sri Lanka and Mr. Nuwan Jayawardane – Chairman of University Outreach Committee of the CFA Society Sri Lanka.
The session offered undergraduates an exceptional chance to gain insights into diverse career opportunities and paths available in the field of finance. Moreover, it emphasized the importance of professional qualifications, such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and the positive impact they can have on one’s career.
