DIT Career Launchpad 2020: Workshop #3
The third in the series of workshops under “DIT Career Launchpad 2020” was successfully concluded on the 30th December via zoom.
The highlight of the session was the keynote speech titled: “The Pathway to being an ICT Entrepreneur” delivered by Mr. Vajeendra S. Kandegamage –CEO/MD of Stemcore Asia (pvt) Ltd. The Keynote can be viewed here
The session was made further engaging for the participants with a live Q & A session administered by the following alumni members of the Department of Information Technology, addressing the concerns of the students regarding their future career plans:
- Udani Gunasekara (Associate Director – Controls Performance, Technology – National Australia Bank),
- Dileepa Nuwan (Online Entrepreneur) and
- Damith Prasanna (Associate Data Warehouse Engineer, Sampath Bank)
The event was well received by the fourth-year students of the Department, who are the main focus group of the workshop series.
