DIT Career Launchpad 2020: Workshop #4
The fourth in the series of workshops under “DIT Career Launchpad 2020”, aimed at grooming the fourth-year students of the Department awaiting internship opportunities, was successfully concluded on the 8th January 2021 via zoom.
The compelling speech based on his own life story, done by Mr. Alagan Mahalingam (Founder/CEO/Chief Software Architect, Rootcode Labs) titled – “Own Your Future, One Step at a Time” claimed the spotlight of the event. The Keynote can be viewed here
The second part of the workshop was dedicated for an awareness session on the industry and internship opportunities, conducted by the following invited speakers from Potenza (pvt) Ltd:
- Dhanushka Muthukumaran (Chief Executive Officer)
- Arshini Skandarajah (Business Partner, Human resources)
The programme also included an experience sharing session facilitated by an invited alumni member of the Department of IT – Mr. Nirujan Sithivinayagamoorthy (Senior IT Auditor, Alghanim Industries, Kuwait).
The students displayed much enthusiasm and interest in engaging with the speakers, which proved the discussions to be value-adding and effective.
