We are pleased to inform you that a research article titled ‘The Role of Management Educators in Implementing Responsible Management Education: A Systematic Literature Review’, co-authored by Nirmal Chathuranga, Kalani Madhuwanthi, and Uvini Ayathma of the Department of Business Administration, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, has been published in the Journal of Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Social Sciences, Volume 11, Issue 2, pages 13-24.

The study explores the pivotal role of individual management educators in translating Responsible Management Education (RME) principles into meaningful academic practices, addressing a gap in existing research that has predominantly focused on institutional commitments. Drawing on a systematic review of 42 peer-reviewed articles and the Gioia methodology, the study identifies four interconnected dimensions of academic contribution: curriculum revisions, enhanced external engagement, pedagogical changes, and academic development in teaching, learning, and research.

The findings highlight that management educators are essential change agents in embedding ethics, sustainability, and social responsibility into management education. The study also emphasises the importance of institutional support, including mentoring, research opportunities, and appropriate recognition of responsible academic practices, in advancing meaningful and sustainable educational transformation.
