We are delighted to announce that our colleagues, Dr. Nikeshala Weerasekera and Dr. Seshika Kariyapperuma, have had their paper titled Beyond Surface: Perceived CSR Authenticity and Compassion at Work with the Mediating Role of Meaningful Work, published in the Social Responsibility Journal, a leading interdisciplinary journal publishing research in the areas of social responsibility, sustainability and governance, indexed in both Scopus and the Web of Science (WoS).
This study aims to examine the relationship between perceived corporate social responsibility (CSR) authenticity and compassion at work, which incorporates the mediating role of meaningful work. Also, this study involves both Social Identity Theory (SIT) and Appraisal Theory of Emotion (ATE) to theoretically support the examined relationships. Further, this paper highlights the importance of reviewing employees’ perception of CSR authenticity in the licensed commercial banking sector.
