Signing of Memorandum of Understanding between University of Sri Jayewardenepura’s Department of Business Administration and Orel IT (Private) Limited
The Department of Business Administration of University of Sri Jayewardenepura is renowned as the pioneer in the realm of management education within the Sri Lankan university system. Accordingly, the Department has embarked on a significant collaboration by formalizing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Orel IT Private Limited. The core objectives underpinning this MOU includes the enhancement of synergies between academia and industry, the fostering of knowledge sharing, and the provision of practical industrial exposure to fourth-year undergraduates enrolled within the Department.
The ceremonial signing of the MOU took place on the 6th of September 2023, hosted within the university premises. This momentous event garnered the esteemed presence of Senior Professor Pathmalal M. Manage, Vice Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and Mr. Gayan David, Chief Business Officer of Orel IT (Private) Limited, both of whom graced the occasion as chief dignitaries. Through this collaborative endeavour, academia and industry converge to pave the way for enriched educational experiences and practical insights, further enriching the academic journey of the university’s aspiring graduates.
