The Student Support Service System (SSSS) of our Department offers comprehensive support and guidance to our students throughout their academic journey. This system focuses on three main areas: academic performance, financial difficulties, and personal challenges, all aimed at ensuring the overall well-being of students. By assisting in these areas, the SSSS seeks to enhance students’ academic experience, relieve any financial pressures that impede their progress, and address personal issues that could hinder their studies. As such, through this initiative, the Department strives to create a supportive learning environment, helping students successfully navigate their coursework and attain their academic goals.

Academic Mentoring

The mentoring programme under SSSS recognises the challenges that our students encounter in both their academic and personal lives. It assigns dedicated academic mentors to guide students who need support and monitor their progress to address specific needs effectively. Academic mentors closely work with students to provide them with necessary guidance and assistance. This approach ensures that each student receives focused attention, fostering their academic development and overall well-being.

The Hardship Support System (HSS)

The Hardship Support System (HSS) is another key initiative within the SSSS. It operates as an independent and transparent framework that connects internal and external donors willing to offer financial assistance to students in the Department facing economic challenges. This programme ensures that students complete their academic pursuits without interruptions. By alleviating financial burdens, the HSS promotes an equitable learning environment, allowing students to concentrate on their studies and fully participate in academic activities despite economic difficulties.

 Induction Programme 2025

To welcome second-year students to our Department, the SSSS conducts an annual induction programme. The induction also makes the students aware of the learning culture of our Department. This programme addresses various topics, including our Department's origin and evolution, the curriculum, student well-being, and the scope and role of the student association—the Association of Business Administration (ABA). This year's induction programme took place on Wednesday, March 5th.
