VERVE Talents 2026

We are delighted to announce the resounding success of VERVE Talents 2026, a vibrant celebration brought to life by the Association of Business Administration (ABA), the student association of the Department of Business Administration.

This event unfolded on 24th August 2026 at the iconic Bandaranayake Hall, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. VERVE Talents 2026 became a lively stage where our undergraduates dazzled the audience with their creativity and talents in singing, dancing, and drama, as 190 students lit up the spotlight. Their brilliance extended beyond the performances, as they showcased remarkable organisational flair in sound management, decorations, event coordination, finance and sponsorship, relationship building, and seamless event operations. The evening flowed smoothly from a prompt 7 pm start to an energetic 11 pm finish, culminating in a joyful 45-minutes celebration where students revelled in their achievements, accompanied by the rhythms of the musical band.

The event was graced by Prof. Dushan Jayawickrama, Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce; Dr. Nayomi De Peiris, Head and the academic members of the Department of Business Administration and other departments; event sponsors; and more than 1000 undergraduates representing our Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce and other Faculties of our University, and parents of our undergraduates.

VERVE first came to life in 2020, and after a pause caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and related challenges, it made a triumphant return in 2025. From this year onwards, VERVE has become a cherished annual tradition for the Association of Business Administration (ABA).

We deeply appreciate the dedication and collaboration of our undergraduates across all three years, whose collective efforts made this event a true celebration of talent and teamwork.
