We are pleased to announce the recent publication by our Head of the Department, Dr. Nayomi De Peiris together with Ms. Anushika Sandamali Thilakarathna, Strategic Sensemaking under Persistent Institutional Ambiguity: Maintaining Plausibility in Fragmented Regulatory Environments, in the Journal of Strategy and Management, a Scopus-indexed Q1 Journal in the field of Strategy and Management, published by Emerald.

The study examines how individuals sustain strategic action in environments characterised by persistent uncertainty, contradictory regulatory signals, and institutional ambiguity. Drawing on qualitative evidence from Sri Lanka, the research demonstrates how social trust, legitimacy cues, and temporal recalibration shape decision-making under uncertainty.
