I am Shanika Lakmali Kumarasinghe, an academic who embarked on her career journey in the department of Commerce in 2023. My academic foundation was laid at the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka, where I obtained the Bachelor of Commerce (Special degree) with a first class.
Driven by a thirst for knowledge and a passion for research, I furthered my education and completed the Master of Science in Management Degree from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in 2023. My research focuses on areas such as accounting, microfinance, banking, and economics.
In addition to my research pursuits, I have a keen interest in teaching. My areas of expertise lie in sustainable commerce, accounting, research methodology and economics. I have honed my teaching skills during my time as a temporary assistant lecturer at the South Eastern University and as a temporary lecturer at the University of Ruhuna.
I am dedicated to making a positive impact in the academic world through my research, teaching, and commitment to learning. My goal is to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of commerce and to inspire the next generation of scholars and students.
