Educational Field Visit to Historical Cities

The Third Year Students of the Department of Estate Management and Valuation participated in a two-day Educational Field Visit to Dambadeniya, Yapahuwa, Panduwasnuwara and Anuradhapura Historical Cities followed by an Interactive Session under the subject of EMV 3342: Urban and Regional Planning on the 29th of February and 1st of March 2020.

Emeritus Professor S. Manawadu of University of Moratuwa joined as a Resource Person for the Educational Field Visit and for the Student Interactive Session which was organized by Prof. K.G.P.K. Weerakoon (Coordinator EMV 3342: Urban and Regional Planning) and Dr. (Mrs.) T.G.U.P. Perera with the assistance of Junior Academic Members of the Department of Estate Management and Valuation under the AHEAD Project.

The students gained valuable knowledge and understanding about the town planning history of selected sacred cities in Sri Lanka through the Field Visit and the Interactive Session.
