Admission Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree (SLQF 5/SLQF 6) in valuation, real estate, property or other relevant discipline from a recognized university or degree-awarding institute.

or

  • A bachelor’s degree (SLQF 5/SLQF 6) from a recognized university or degree-awarding institution, along with two years of relevant post-qualification experience or prior learning.

or

  • A qualification equivalent to SLQF 6 or above in the valuation, real estate, property or other relevant discipline from a recognized university, degree-awarding institute, or professional institute.

or

  • A qualification (member) from a professional institute equivalent to SLQF 6 or above from a recognized professional institute, along with four years of relevant experience or prior learning.

or

  • Completion of NVQ Level 7 with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 0-4, as determined by the BOSBS of the FMSC.

or

  • Any other qualification accepted by the Senate of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura

Recognized Professional Memberships/ Qualifications

A member of the following professional bodies with four years of post-qualifying relevant experience:

  • Institute of Valuers of Sri Lanka
  • Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Valuation or Commercial Real Estate pathways)
  • Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka
  • Institute of Quantity Surveying in Sri Lanka
  • Institute of Surveyors, Sri Lanka
  • Any other professional institutions accepted by the admission board and by the Senate of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura

Postgraduate Diploma in Real Estate Management and Valuation (Online Programme)

Application Procedure

Application for both M.Sc. and PG. Dip in REMV must be made through the  new student registration system of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce (FMSC). The applicant must follows the following instructions.

  • Enter your personal details and save them
  • Proceed to enter other details
  • Upload certified copies of all documents in the “Upload” section
  • Once you have completed all the information, submit your application
  • You must submit the application to proceed with the process
  • After submitting the application, you cannot edit it
  • Only one application per program per NIC number is allowed
  • Submit your application on or before the closing date
  • No applications will be accepted after the closing date

Selection Process

  1. Applications: Applications are only available in online format. Click here for online application.
  2. Evaluation of the application: Completed applications are evaluated to ensure eligibility
  3. Admission Test: An admission test is conducted to measure Aptitude, Intelligence, and English proficiency. Candidates scoring a minimum of 40% marks in the admission test will be called for an interview
  4. Interview: Successful candidates in the admission test will be assessed by an interview panel for further screening
  5. Final Selection: Final selection of candidates for the program is based on marks obtained in the test and interview
