Overview:

The Centre for Real Estate Research Studies, Department of Estate Management and Valuation (CRES – EMV) was established in 2016 as the research arm of the department to join and contribute to the growing local and global research agenda in real estate and to bridge the gap between academic theory and commercial practice in the sector. The centre is one of the dedicated successfully functioning research centres in the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. We are a non‐profit making organisation with any surpluses used to support further research and education in the Centre and the Department.

 

Goal of CRES

To encourage researches & publications in the relevant fields, consultations in practical real estate projects and enhance human capital through training and development in the field of real estate management and valuation.

 

Key Services offered by CRES

  • Provide training upon requests of public/private and professional institutes
  • Conduct surveys and research for public/private and professional institutes
  •  Undertake real estate management and valuation consultancies for public/private and professional institutes
  •  Publish research papers, data profiles, textbooks and news bulletins
  •   Provide Consultancy Services on Real Estate related issues

 

Key Activities of CRES done during Past Years

Referred Journal:
Sri Lankan Journal of Real Estate

This is a refereed journal published by CRES biannually in July and December. Papers received on or before 15th of March and 15th of October in every year are considered for the publication of the year. The research centre and the editorial board reserve the right to determine the format and the style of the journals. Each prospective article is blind reviewed. CRES will commit to publish only the original contribution to the field of real estate by respective authors.
