Annual Pirith Chanting Ceremony
The Students’ Association of the B.Sc. Estate Management and Valuation (Special) Degree Programme, attached to the Department of Estate Management & Valuation, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura organized a “All Night Pirith Chanting Ceremony” followed by ‘Heel Dana’ at 08.30 pm on 11th February 2020 till the next day morning on 12th February 2020 at the department premises.
This religious event was organized for the blessings of the EMV department progress and for memorizing the great contribution given by,
- Late Mr. P. K. Y. Perera, former Department Head, Senior Lecturer.
- Late Mr. S. N. Wijepala, former Chief Valuer, former President of the Institute of Valuers of Sri Lanka and a Visiting Lecturer at the Department.
- Late Prof. K. R. M. T. Karunarathne, former Dean of Faculty of Management Studies & Commerce.
- Late Mr. L. D. Dickman, former Director-General of B.O.I and former Visiting Lecturer and all other late lecturers of the Department.
