Degree Part III Undergraduates went on an Educational Field Visit to the City of Galle

On 22nd April 2024, undergraduates of the degree part III of the B.Sc. Honours in Real Estate Management and Valuation degree programme had the educational field visit to the city of Galle as part of their coursework in EMV 3373: Urban and Regional Planning I.

Students undertook, conducting a land use survey within the historic Galle Fort and engaging in a comprehensive public survey aimed at developing a proposal for a leisure hub for the Galle Port. The students gained practical experience in conducting both a land use survey and a public survey, providing them with valuable insights into urban development practices. Further, they acquired essential skills and knowledge applicable to real-world scenarios, enriching their understanding of urban planning processes and strategies.
